MEET THE TEAM
SIMON BARNUM
SENIOR CHOREOGRAPHER
Simon is our Senior choreographer. He began his choreographic career working as an assistant on productions such as X-Factor for Cheryl Cole, The Voice of Ireland, and Pop Star to Opera Star. In addition to multiple projects for Underwraps, he is currently the Creative Director for X-Factor in Georgia and Georgia’s Got Talent and is resident choreographer for Disney Channel UK & Europe www.instagram.com/simonbarnum_creative
RUTH TRANTOR
FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR
Since founding Underwraps in 1996, Ruth has been creating, designing, and delivering shows to the global live entertainment industry for over 25 years. It is a source of great pride that many of her clients have been working with Underwraps for almost as long as the company has been in business.  From London’s O2 Arena, to a Naval aircraft carrier in the South China sea, (and every conceivable venue in between), she has made memorable events for clients all over the world. Projects include: • Production shows for Global Village Dubai, Ferrari World, Nickelodeon, Mattel, Butlins • Brand launches for Emirates, Mercedes, Renault, Mars, PepsiCo, GlaxoSmithKline • Corporate events for Google, Forever Living, HSBC, ING, England Rugby
DAVID ANDERSON
CHOREOGRAPHER
David brings his extensive experience working as a dancer for world-class artistes (Rihanna, Coldplay, Jay Z, One Direction) and in top-ranking TV shows (X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway), to his current role as one of our main choreographers. In addition, David is renowned as one of the leading teachers for the UK’s most prestigious dance schools which means that Underwraps has ready access to a steady stream of new performing talent. www.instagram.com/davidanderson226
CHARLOTTE CHAPMAN
KIDS THEATRE
Charlotte is our Kids Theatre choreographer with vast experience working for top brands in this field. Recent projects include shows at Global Village, Dubai, for PJ Masks, Care Bears, Octonauts and Chhotta Bheem. Charlotte is also a freelance Event Manager for all the major UK corporate agencies and often brings her calm demeanour and organisational skills to bear when dealing with our young audiences. www.instagram.com/charlottestars
TONY MASON
PUPPETS, MASKS & PROPS
Tony makes all our large-scale puppets as well as masks, props, and unusual costume pieces. He graduated with a Fine Arts degree in Painting & Film and after a short spell as a cartoonist, became hooked into the world of Street Carnival. A 3-year apprenticeship with Mahogany led to work with companies such as Kinetika, Emergency Exit Arts and Elimu Mas Band. He also makes for Theatre/TV/Film through Robert Allsopp & Associates and via his own workshop, which is based in Stratford, London – just a hop from the Olympic Park. www.tonymason.co.uk
ASHLEE BARRETT-BOURMIER
COSTUME DESIGNER & STYLIST
Our Head of Costume is Ashlee Barrett-Bourmier, a Costume Designer and Stylist based in London. Educated in Fine Arts and then later a degree in Fashion Design, Ashlee weaves together these different disciplines to create her work. Having worked as Head of Costume for Underwraps at Global Village in the UAE for nearly 10 years and Costume Designer and Stylist for numerous theatrical events, Ashlee is also a Contributing Fashion Editor of Vogue Polska and the Fashion Editor of Violet Book. She also works as campaign stylist, collection stylist and Artistic Director for multiple high-end brands. www.ashleebarrettbourmier.com
ROBIN SCOTT
COMPOSER & ARRANGER
Robin composes and creates all our original soundtracks. A talented musician and singer in his own right, he has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some of the world’s biggest artists; Kylie Minogue, Cher, The Spice Girls, Rod Stewart, Sting, Deep Purple, and Motörhead, among many others. Robin’s music has been used on many TVs shows and Networks around the world, including BBC, ITV, SKY, SKY SPORTS, CNN, DISCOVERY. He is continually writing and recording. www.robinscottmusic.com
JARED DOUGHTY
FLYING & RIGGING CONSULTANT
Jared is our advisor on all aspects of performer flying and rigging. After 15 years with Fly By Foy , it is safe to say that Jared has rigged every conceivable arena, theatre, film-set and flying scenario that can be imagined. He is now a freelance Flying Director and Specialist Automation advisor and programmer for the TV, Theatre and Film industry. Ongoing projects include Strictly Come Dancing, I’m A Celebrity and Global Village, UAE.

CONSULTANT IN SPECIAL EFFECTS
Terry is our consultant for stunt work and large-scale special effects. His experience in the live event and film world us unparalleled.
