CSE Afghanistan Tour / February 2008
Working for Combined Services Entertainment (CSE), four of our dancers braved uncomfortable living quarters, arduous travel arrangements and genuinely dangerous conditions to take some high quality entertainment to British troops in Afghanistan. Alongside vocalists James Fox and Platinum selling solo artist Lucie Silvas plus comedians, Mark Walker and Sean Collins; they were part of the show that toured Kabul, Kandahar, and Camp Bastion in Helmand province. During their ten day visit, they played to over 7,000 troops and all conceded afterwards that the audiences were by far the most appreciative they’d ever performed for. Huge thanks are due to Jane, Julie, Claudia and Leanne for rising to the challenge and doing such a spectacular job representing Underwraps. |
